– Antes de sua estreia como ator, ele foi campeão de natação na faculdade, tendo como especialização o nado borboleta. Ele parou de nadar após 14 anos, após sofrer uma lesão na coluna que lhe custou o sonho de se tornar um nadador profissional e até encurtou seu alistamento no exército. Desde então, ele se tornou treinador de natação.
– Ele começou a fazer cirurgias por causa de uma doença quando estava na segunda série. Ele havia passado por seis cirurgias de transplante ósseo e continuou fazendo cirurgias por causa desse problema até entrar na universidade. Ele citou que apesar de todas essas dificuldades ele tenta ao máximo se manter em forma, já que faz isso há anos como atleta.
– Ele fez sua estreia como ator na série de televisão de drama sobrenatural de 2011, ‘New Tales of Gisaeng’, na qual seu papel inovador lhe rendeu sua primeira vitória na categoria ‘Melhor Novo Ator’ dos prêmios de atuação da SBS.
